FIFTH WEEK

From November 12 to 16, we did so many things in four differents technical

subjects. Our teachers are: Ricardo, Javier, Gorka and Xabi.

With Ricardo, we did an oral exam explaining our password policies and encryption

tools also the file integrity, threat detection and signature and certificate techniques and finally install a proxy server in our Debian9 server.

With Xabi, we did an oral exam of our web page, we had to explain the PHP

code of our page, its functions, how it connects to the database, how can

users login in our page...

With Gorka, we have done an exam about web server, specifically with Apache

Web Server. We also did an oral exam of our database, we have to show that

we were able to understand a database from the most basic to the most

complex things.

With Javier, we have done a manual of Automation of tasks we have to add a hard

drive to the debian server and the hard drive have to have 3 primary partitions of

10 GB, then we have to format one partition in ext4 mode. the we have to

configure the server in such a way that only cron and atd services can be

used by some users. this manual we have not understood it perfectly it

has very specific things.

FOURTH WEEK

IKER PERALTA ANDER ARMAS AND KOLDO ZUBERO

From November 5 to 9, we did so many things in four differents technical subjects.

Our teachers are: Ricardo, Javier, Gorka and Xabi.

With Ricardo, we did and exam of cryptography and security, the exam was hard but we did okay.

With Xabi we have started to integrate the PHP language on a database via inserts,

selects, updates… and we are perfecting the web page for the user. We think that
we are doing it right.

With Gorka we have continued trying to relate the tables of our database, but we
don't know how, we are still working on it. We are finding information on internet
but that information is not correct and it's very frustrating.

With Javier we have done a manual of remote access with differents types of operative systems like Windows, Ubuntu and Debian. The manual was very large and a bit complicated to complete.

THIRD WEEK

IKER PERALTA ANDER ARMAS AND KOLDO ZUBERO

From October 22 to 26, we did so many things in four differents technical subjects.

Our teachers are: Ricardo, Javier, Gorka and Xabi.

With Ricardo, we have been continuing doing the exercises for the challenge.

We install and antivirus on windows and in debian we install rootkits is a tool that
Verifys the integrity of windows updates.

With Xabi we have continued to learn the php language. We have prepared the
exam that we have done, through exercises in class. Now we will learn how to
integrate the PHP language on a database via inserts,selects, updates...

With Gorka. We have continued creating our company database, creating tables
for different functions, we create 4 tables for our database those tables are
employees, invoices, services and customers. We are trying to relate these tables,
but we don't know how, we are working on it.

With Javier we have done a test of processes in Ubuntu, After we have done a little work in which we have had to prepare 3 machines: Debian, Ubuntu and Windows we have had them to connect each other using different commands to edit the network card. We also had to rename the machines using some commands.

SECOND WEEK

IKER PERALTA ANDER ARMAS AND KOLDO ZUBERO

From October 5 to 19, we did so many things in four differents technical subjects. Our teachers are: Ricardo, Javier, Gorka and Xabi.

With Ricardo, we have been doing several exercises that he has sent us. The exercises they were had to look for information about antivirus and security in linux and in windows. We have also looked for tools for the creation and storage of passwords, tool to encrypt folders and a tool to check the integrity of files. Then we have installed the tools and tested them.

With Xabi we have continued to learn the php language. This week we have done several exercises and controls.The last control we did on paper, it is much more difficult to read a web page in php in on paper.

With Gorka we have installed a debian server in a physical computer.When we just mounted the server on a computer we needed internet to update and download packages. For this we had to install a wifi usb, which was the one that was going to give us access to the internet. We have had many problems to install, but we have not achieved it. Then we have continued making a database in virtual machine.

With Javier we have finished studying the basic commands. Last Tuesday we did a Linux basics command exam, it was very difficult. After the exam the following days we have started to study more linux commands.To see what we learned, we made a script to create users and groups with the minimum possible commands.

FIRST WEEK

IKER PERALTA ANDER ARMAS AND KOLDO ZUBERO

In the last two weeks, we did so many things in four differents technical subjects. Our teachers are: Ricardo, Javier, Gorka and Xabi.

With Ricardo we are doing the subject that is called Security and High Availability, we are learning about encryption and codification methods to keep our information as secure as possible. We are installing applications that help us encrypt the files we have, we will install it in Windows 10 in graphic form and in Debian in command mode.

With Xabi we are doing the subject that is called Web Application Deployment, we are learning PHP, which is a programming language for web applications. So far we have learn commands like; if, while, for and else if. This programming language will help us to make the web page for our challenge.

With Gorka we are doing the subject that is called Internet and Network Services, We installed Debian 9 server operating system and we are preparing it to provide DHCP services, with DHCP we provide IP addresses to users who connect to our network. Another service that we will provide is the DNS, with that will translate the IP addresses into domain names and vice versa. We will also have a server with a database, there we will put all the information we need. We will also have a WEB server so that the user who needs it, can see our website. Finally we will have the FTP service so that we can transfer files.

And finally, with Javier we are doing the subject that is called Operative System Management we are learning a lot of commands in Ubuntu. We are basically learning how to manage an operating system like Ubuntu, creating users and groups, giving them permission to do certain things.
